    Where Sundown Works Best

Massage a small amount into the areas that carry the day. Best as part of your wind down before bed.

Your hardest-working muscles. Massage Sundown into tired calves and shins at the end of a long day on your feet, and let them feel light again before bed.

Where the whole day settles. Work a little into the tops and soles of your feet for a few soothing minutes of wind down before lights out.

Where stress likes to sit. Smooth Sundown into tense shoulders and the base of the neck with slow circular motions to help the day ease off.

For the dull ache of standing, sitting or doing it all. Massage gently into the lower back as part of your evening routine.

    What's inside, and why

Made with intention, not just ingredients

We didn't want to make another lotion. We wanted to make the few minutes before bed feel like something. So we built Sundown around two ingredients people have reached for, in one form or another, for a very long time.

    Magnesium

    Magnesium

If you've ever felt calmer after a warm Epsom salt bath, you've already met magnesium. It's one of the most common minerals in the body and has long been associated with rest and relaxation. We blend magnesium chloride into a rich lotion so you can massage it exactly where you hold the day's tension, turning a simple step into a moment of calm.

We love magnesium for how it makes our evenings feel. Sundown is a cosmetic skincare product, made to soothe and relax, not a medicine.

    Arnica

    Arnica

Arnica is a small yellow mountain flower that's been a quiet staple of soothing balms for generations. It's the ingredient that makes Sundown feel made for tired knees, shoulders and joints, the parts of us that carry the most. Paired with a slow, deliberate massage, it turns winding down into something you actually look forward to.

    The ritual

    The ritual is the point

Here's the part most brands skip: slowing down is half of why this works. Taking a few unhurried minutes to massage Sundown into your skin, breathe out and let the day go is a gentle signal to your body that it's time to rest. Shea butter and grapeseed oil leave skin soft and never greasy, so the only thing left is the calm.

    •

Didn't expect much from a lotion but this is part of my wind-down every night now. Calming, light, and my restless legs have settled right down

      Jasmine R.

    • I rub this into my calves and feet before bed and I genuinely fall asleep faster. The lavender is subtle, not overpowering. It's become a non-negotiable part of my night.

      Lisa M.

    • Bought it for my wife but I've ended up using it more than her after long days on my feet. Sinks in quickly, no greasy residue. We're on our second jar.

      Jessica O.

    • Was skeptical about magnesium on the skin but this won me over. Massaging it in is so soothing and I sleep heavier. Smells gorgeous too.

      Claire D.

    • My legs ache constantly from work and this is the first thing that actually helps me relax in the evenings. The arnica must be doing something

      Niamh C.

      Made for achy joints

Made with arnica, a botanical long loved in soothing balms. Massage around the knees for a calming end of day ritual.

      Questions? We’ve Got You Covered

      Where should I apply it?

Most people massage it into the feet and calves before bed, but it's lovely anywhere you carry tension, legs, wrists, shoulders, the back of the neck. Avoid broken skin and your eye area.

How much should I use, and how long will a jar last?

A little goes a long way, about a teaspoon is plenty. Because you use so little, most people find a jar lasts a good while with nightly use.

Should I put socks on after applying to my feet?

Many people love to, massage it into your feet, pop on a pair of cosy socks, and let it absorb while you settle in for the night. It's a lovely part of the wind-down.

Is it okay for the whole family to use?

Lots of customers share it with their partner or family as part of an evening routine. For children, the elderly, or anyone pregnant or with a health condition, we'd suggest checking with your doctor first.

Can I use it if I have sensitive skin?

It's made with gentle, skin-friendly ingredients and most people with sensitive skin find it comfortable. A couple of notes: avoid applying to cuts or broken skin (the magnesium can tingle), and as with any new skincare, patch-test a small area first.

When's the best time to use it?

About 10–15 minutes before bed, as the last step in your evening. The unhurried massage is part of how it helps you wind down, give yourself the few quiet minutes.
